Key Account Manager – Bolton International (Belgium & Luxembourg)


For our office in Diegem (BE), we are looking for a Key Account Manager to strengthen the Bolton International team. In this role, you will support, besides others, our major customer Colruyt Group and build strong, profitable retail partnerships.

 

How you make the difference

As a Key Account Manager, you develop and coordinate sales and services for your specified key accounts. You are responsible for creating and executing the key account plan (as part of the commercial plan). You navigate a demanding retail environment with resilience, stay sharp in negotiations, and manage stakeholders with confidence and composure.

 

How your agenda looks like:

  • Sales strategy & business results:
    You are responsible for turnover and profitability targets of (Key) Accounts under the direct responsibility of the Sales Manager Belgium. You manage year or multi-year contracts and everything associated with them.
  • Key account planning & execution:
    You develop medium- to long-range sales account plans, in line with the yearly commercial budget plan, and ensure strong execution with your customers.
  • Key account marketing, promotions & assortment:
    You execute the local KA marketing plan (marketing communication, promotion activities and assortment strategy) and initiate/translate KA Category Management activities in close cooperation with the (Trade) marketing team.
  • Innovation & growth:
    You ensure the successful rollout of Bolton innovations at KA level in the designated countries, in consultation with the Marketing Manager and Sales Manager. You define new business potentials and provide input to the Marketing Manager and Sales Manager.
  • Stakeholder management & cross-functional collaboration:
    You ensure efficient collaboration with controlling, financial accounting, IT and supply chain, guaranteeing consistent application of (HR) policies and procedures across countries, compliant with local regulations and Group guidelines. You share KA insights with the sales team and monitor key trends and developments in markets, retail, sustainability, and consumer/shopping behaviours.

 

Your team:

You report hierarchically to the Sales Manager. You work closely with colleagues across (Trade) marketing, finance/controlling, IT and supply chain to deliver account plans, contracts, promotions and innovation rollouts.

 

What makes you a great fit?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in (commercial) business economics or related
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in sales in within FMCG; management of Colruyt Group is “+”.
  • Knowledge & skills: You combine tactical and strategic thinking, have a strong eye for detail, and understand the retail/FMCG landscape. You have experience with Category Management, Promotion Management, and Price Management, and you understand digital Marketing & Sales
  • Competencies & personality: You are a strong relationship builder, able to maintain oversight of contracts and projects, with excellent negotiation skills and strong stakeholder management abilities. You are highly analytical and comfortable working with rapidly changing data. You remain calm and professional under pressure and are emotionally resilient
  • Languages: Fluent in Dutch and French (Belgium). English is a plus
