R&D Manager

We are looking for a R&D Manager - DIY/PRO to join our R&D Team in Adhesives Business Unit based in Netherlands.

How you make the difference

Key role in initiation of and contributing to  innovative and sustainable product development projects for adhesives and sealants with focus on reactive technologies mainly based on silane modified and silane terminated systems. Also coordination of the local team who care for the development.

How your agenda looks like:

• Initiate and contribute together with the team to innovative and sustainable product development projects
• Monitor, identify and initiate actions to improve existing formulations and to develop new formulations
• Contribute actively to technical & technology insight generation process
• Manage testing, maintain technical documentation and implement internal and external test methods
• Troubleshoot product related issues and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders
• Be the first contact person and supervisor for the local development team

Your team:

You will directly report to the R&D Director, will lead the development experts team in Goes and work closely together with the teams in the plant in Goes.  

What makes you a great fit:

• Education: bachelor or university degree in Chemistry, polymer science, chemical engineering or adhesives engineering
• Work Experience: minimum of 10 years of experience in product development  in the chemical industry preferably in adhesives and sealants industry.
• Strong knowledge and formulation background about silane-modified and silane-terminated polymer based reactive adhesives and sealant systems.
• Soft skills: leadership skills, result-oriented, creative, strong problem-solving skills and very good project management skills
• Language: Dutch and English is a must
