Demand Planning Specialist, Personal Care
We are looking for a Demand Planning Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in the Home Care, Personal Care and Beauty Business Unit at our headquarters in Milan, Italy.
How you make the difference
You will be responsible for leading the demand planning process across the Personal Care portfolio, ensuring accurate forecasting, optimal stock levels, and strong alignment between Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
You will play a key role in driving forecast accuracy and bias, supporting business growth, and improving Domestic Personal Care demand planning process, within a dynamic FMCG environment.
This position is designed for a professional with a 2-3 yrs. experience in Demand Planning within FMCG, capable of combining analytical capabilities with strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
How your agenda looks like:
• You will lead the Domestic Personal care demand planning cycle, ensuring accurate sales forecasts through close collaboration with Trade Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Planning teams.
• You will monitor forecast accuracy, bias, product lines / stock availability, slobs, and service level KPIs, identifying risks and improvement opportunities to support business continuity and operational efficiency.
• You will analyze historical sales trends, market dynamics, promotional plans, and customer behaviour to develop reliable demand forecasts and support decision-making processes.
• You will coordinate cross-functional alignment during S&OP meetings, ensuring consistency between commercial expectations and operational capabilities.
• You will support product launches, portfolio changes, and promotional activities, ensuring proper forecasting assumptions and inventory readiness.
• You will collaborate with production sites and external stakeholders to ensure effective planning execution and responsiveness to market changes.
Your team:
You will report directly to the Demand Planning Manager, and work within the Demand Planning team.
You will work in close connection with Trade Marketing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Logistics and Supply Planning teams across the organization.
You will be part of a dynamic FMCG environment, requiring strong analytical skills, business acumen, ownership, and the ability to influence different stakeholders.
What makes you a great fit:
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
Work Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in Demand Planning / Forecasting within FMCG environments.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Demand Planning & S&OP knowledge
- Advanced Excel and demand planning tools proficiency
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented mindset
Languages:
- Italian native
- Business English
