Group Product Manager

We are looking for a bright Group Product Manager to join our Local Marketing team at Bolton Food Italy.

 
 

How you make the difference

As a Group Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of brand strategies for the Italian market, managing key product initiatives and driving business growth.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping category performance, ensuring alignment with the global vision of our main food brands.

 

How your agenda looks like:

 

This role requires a consumer-centric mindset and excellent project leadership skills. You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Trade Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Global Marketing.

 

  • Brand Strategy & Planning: Define and execute the Strategic Marketing Plan of the assigned product portfolio, gathering insights in the local market. Develop annual marketing plans to support product growth, brand equity, and market share.
  • Innovation & Renovation Projects: Coordinate product development projects from concept to launch, ensuring timely execution and market success in cross functional teams and in collaboration with the Global Marketing Team.
  • Business Analysis & Performance Tracking: Analyze brand performance, market trends, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Own the marketing budget for your category, ensuring effective allocation and ROI of marketing investments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with agency partners and internal stakeholder from all functions to manage your product portfolio.
  • Consumer Focus: Translate consumer insights into actionable marketing strategies that drive relevance and differentiation.
  • Support in the definition and Execution of a Communication Plan, from the copy strategy to the production.
  • Media & Marketing Planning and budgeting, through a 360° communication architecture (ATL-BTL) and post evaluation.
 

Your team:

This position reports directly to the Marketing Director Italy.

You will manage a team of 1 or 2 direct reports and collaborate daily with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Trade, R&D, and Finance.

 

How you look like:

 Experience:
6-8 years of experience in Product or Brand Management roles, preferably within the FMCG industry. Solid background in local marketing execution with a proven track record of managing teams and launching successful product initiatives.

 

Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills;
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and experience with market data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI);
  • Leadership qualities;
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Fluent in Italian and proficient in English.
