We are looking for a Sustainable Development Intern to join our Sustainability team in our Bolton Food Business Unit, based in Milan, Italy.

How You Make the Difference:

Sustainability is at the core of how Bolton Food operates — from responsible fishing practices to reducing environmental impact across our supply chain. As a Sustainable Development Intern, you will directly contribute to advancing our ESG agenda, supporting the design and monitoring of sustainability programmes that protect marine ecosystems, reduce emissions, and strengthen community partnerships. Your work will have a real and measurable impact on our long-term commitment to operating as a responsible business.

How Your Agenda Looks Like:

• Support the monitoring and reporting of ESG and sustainability KPIs across the Food & Trimarine supply chain, collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect and validate data.
• Contribute to the development of sustainability reports and communication materials aligned with GRI, SASB, and EU CSRD standards.
• Collaborate with the fisheries management team and NGO partners (WWF, OXFAM) to track progress on responsible sourcing and marine conservation initiatives.
• Research emerging sustainability regulations, industry trends, and best practices to inform strategic recommendations for the business.
• Support the coordination of internal sustainability awareness initiatives and employee engagement programmes across our global offices and plants.

Your Team:

You will report directly to the Sustainable Development EMEA Manager. You will also work closely with the Group Corporate Affairs and ESG team based in Milan.

How You Look Like:

• Proven academic background in Environmental Science, Sustainability, International Relations, Business with a sustainability focus, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) or EU sustainability regulations — through coursework, projects, or prior internship experience
• Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus
