Project Development Specialist

We are looking for a Project Development Specialist to join the Mass Market Project Development Team of our Home Care, Personal Care and Beauty business unit, based in Nova Milanese, near Milan, Italy.

How you make the difference

The candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating innovation and renovation projects, ensuring alignment with company priorities in terms of timing, costs, and quality. You will play a key role in driving projects from idea generation to go-to-market, acting as a bridge between Business and Supply Chain and ensuring excellence in execution.

How your agenda looks like:

You will manage a wide portfolio of innovation and renovation projects according to a list of our Brands and across different categories, leading initiatives from concept to market launch.

You will lead product development activities, including feasibility analysis, cost estimation, and project planning, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

You will act as the main interface between Business and Supply Chain, ensuring clear communication, alignment on priorities, and smooth project execution.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with R&D, Marketing, F&A, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Plant to guarantee project success.

You will manage relationships with suppliers and production sites, ensuring feasibility, efficiency, and compliance with Company standards.

You will proactively identify risks and opportunities, ensuring timely problem-solving and continuous optimization of project performances.

Your team:

You will report directly to our Operations & Project Development Manager. Additionally, you will work in close connection with the R&D and Marketing teams.

You will be part of a cross-functional and dynamic environment, requiring strong collaboration skills, stakeholders’ management, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

What makes you a great fit:

Education:

• Master’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or similar

Work Experience:

• 2–3 years in project management, product development, purchaising or industrialization roles within Home / Personal / Beauty Care Markets.

Soft skills:

• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholders management abilities
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage complexity and work in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of product development and industrialization processes
• Experience with feasibility analysis and cost estimation
• Familiarity with project planning tools and methodologies
• Office package (especially Excel and MSProject); SAP is a plus.

Language:

• Italian mother tongue and Business English
